A delegation of Ninh Binh province, led by Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat paid a working visit to the Netherlands on May 10.

During its trip to the Netherlands, the delegation had a working session withthe SNV Netherlands Development Organization.

 SNV is a non-profit international development organisation. Founded in the Netherlands in 1965, it hasspecialised in building capacity for organisations, businesses, and localities in a bid to reducing poverty.

At the working session, the two sides discussed some matters relating to agriculture-food system, energy and water to improve living conditions for Ninh Binh people through developing agriculture and sustainable tourism.

Representatives of SNV shared their experiences and solutions to responding to climate change in agricultural production activities, aquaculture, using water resources effectively as well as measures to create livelihoods for local community through developing agriculture and tourism sustainably.

They also suggested some measuresand projects on breeding shrimp, planting mangrove forests, and protecting bio-diversity.

Later, the delegation worked with the PUM, a non-profit organisation of the Netherlands. It was founded in 1978 by the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW) and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. PUM aims to contribute to the growth of vibrant Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries and emerging markets.

 The two sides discussedsome issues, such as supporting Ninh Binh's SMEsin transferring knowledge, experience; vocational training; building and expanding relations with Dutch and EUpartners; planning and orientations for developing green and circular economy; developing the culturalindustry and building Ninh Binh into a tourism hub of the country and the world.

Then, the delegation also worked with The Hague Municipal Council.

 Tuat briefed participants about the province's socio-economic situation as well as potential, strengths and investment attraction orientations in the fields of culture and education.

He also suggested stepping up cooperation and exchange with between the two sides in the time to come, thereby contributing to strengthening cooperative ties between Ninh Binh and The Hague as well as diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands.

The two sides discussed matters relating to governing the city, issuing public policies and services, developing culture, education and investment promotion between Ninh Binh and The Hague in the coming time.

The delegation also worked with theVietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands. 

Tuat underscored that Ninh Binh has always given priority to attracting European investors in the fields of eco-tourism, hi-end resort tourism; training hi-quality human resources; building infrastructure for industrial zones, tourism sites and urban areas; manufacturing and assembling automobiles; supporting industry for the automobile industry; manufacturing electronic components; clean and hi-tech industries and agricultural productprocessing.

The province has also paid more attention to luring investment into modern, environmentally-friendly projects that use land and natural resources effectively.

Tuat hoped that the Vietnamese Embassy in the Nertherlands and Ambassador Ngo Huong Nam would continue to support and connect Ninh Binh and Dutch investors and partners in the coming time.

 For his part, Nam said that the Dutch organisations that the Ninh Binhdelegation has met and worked with during their visit to the Netherlands allhave strengths and potential that the province is interested in.

 In the time to come, the VietnameseEmbassy in the Netherlands would continue to support and help Ninh Binh to lure investment from Dutch investors, he stressed.
