Labour export enterprises offer thousands of job recruitments at job fairs.

The Republic of Korea (RoK) has continued to top the list of countries and territories receiving Vietnamese guest workers. The East Asian nation received over 500 labourers from Ninh Binh in the first six months of 2024.

La Thanh Tung, Director of the Provincial Centre for Employment Services, said the Employment Permit System (EPS) programme has received much attention from labourers thanks to its low costs, bigger recruitment opportunities and high salaries. When joining the programme, labourers will also be protected and enjoy policies like Korean peers.

In the past few years, the centre has actively communicated and popularised information related to the EPS progamme as well as creating conditions for labourers to access job opportunities under the EPS programme.

Along with maintaining traditional markets, the centre has exploited new markets such as Germany, Bulgaria and Romani to increase opportunities for labourers in Vietnam in general and in the province in particular to work abroad.

Some markets have offered new job opportunities that Vietnamese labourers could seize in the fields of nursing, agriculture and aquaculture, Tung added.

Statistics from the provincial Centre for Employment Services showed that it has received thousands of job recruitments from labour export enterprises. The centre has enhanced the communication work and held job fairs to popularise information to local labourers.

Ninh Binh sets a target of sending 1,400 labourers to work abroad in 2024.

With the result recorded in the first half, Ninh Binh is expected to fulfill the yearly target, Tung stressed.
