Prominent among those at the opening ceremony were Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Nation Assembly; Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Mai Van Tuat, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council; and Pham Quang Ngoc, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.

Opening the session, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat said that the session will consider and discuss reports of the provincial People's Committee and sectors, review the achieved outcomes in the fields of socio-economic affairs, defence - security; and the direction and implementation of solutions of the provincial People's Council. It will also define tasks and specific solutions to achieve the socio-economic targets set for the year as well as those of the 2021-2026 period.

A question and answer session will also be held.

The sitting will consider and vote for approval of 13 important draft resolutions.

The 22rd session of the Ninh Binh People's Council will last until July 10.
