Attending the opening ceremony were Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Quang Ngoc and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tong Quang Thin, among others.

The tournament sees the participation of six men’s teams and six women’s teams.

The men’s teams include Border Guard, The Cong-Tan Cang, Ho Chi Minh City Public Security, Ha Noi, Lavie Long An and LPBank Ninh Binh.

The women’s teams comprise VTV Binh Dien Long An, Vietinbank, Geleximco Thai Binh, Information High Command – Dong Bac, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement and LPBank Ninh Binh.

In his opening speech, Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Manh Cuong said the tournament saw the participation of outstanding players from domestic clubs and foreign nations such as Thailand and Indonesia.

The tournament offers a chance for the participating teams and players to improve their skills ahead of the first round of the National Volleyball Championship 2025.

Following the opening ceremony,  LPBank Ninh Binh played against Geleximco Thai Binh in the first match of the women’s group.

The tournament will last until March 9.
